Group of SERVPRO employees attending a safety meeting outside of a commercial jobsite Safety is a top priority for our SERVPRO team!

When it comes to getting your business back to business after a disaster, SERVPRO of Northwest Escambia County is dedicated to working quickly, efficiently, and most importantly, SAFELY!  From a fire damage in a commercial warehouse, to extensive storm damage from a hurricane, our team has the resources, training, and expertise to safely tackle your commercial disaster, working to make it “Like it never even happened.”  So, what are some of our main safety concerns, and how do we work to reduce the risk of injury on the jobsite?

Slip, Trip & Fall: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, slips, trips, and falls cause nearly 700 fatalities per year and many more injurious accidents in the workplace.  One of the primary ways that we reduce injury related to slip, trip, and fall hazards is by effectively utilizing safety equipment.  Our team members follow all OSHA guidelines as they pertain to proper footwear and headwear for the work site.  We also work to minimize the number of hazards present by removing debris as it is created, taping down electrical cords while in use, and posting signage about potential hazards around the workplace.

All Team Safety Meeting: Each morning we hold an all-team safety meeting before work commences.  Depending on the specific circumstances of the job we are performing, all employees are briefed on potential hazards and how to reduce the risk of injury.  Additionally, our project management team oversees the work processes taking place, ensuring that equipment is being used properly, personal protective equipment is being worn (as applicable), and that industry guidelines are being followed.

Operating a safe jobsite ensures that work can be performed as quickly as possible.  Along with providing the highest possible level of customer service when disaster strikes, SERVPRO of Northwest Escambia County is dedicated to reducing the amount of business interruption our customers experience.  With the support of 2,000 nationwide franchises, our team is “Faster to any size disaster.”  To learn more about the various commercial restoration services we provide, please give us a call: 850-466-3089.
