Fallen Tree Damages Local Home

The damages to the ceiling pictured above occurred as a result of a fallen tree during a heavy thunderstorm.  The tree broke through the roof and split the ceiling, allowing rainwater to soak into both the surrounding insulation and leak into the home.  SERVPRO of Northwest Escambia County began the remediation process by removing the affected ceiling and insulation, followed by the placement of drying equipment to eliminate the moisture from the flooring in the home.  The quick response of our team removed the conditions that would lend to mold growth, and limited the amount of damage sustained by the property.  The homeowners were very pleased with the results of our efforts.
